Hi everyone I got carried away and picked up a Bolex C8 with a 13mm Yvar lens for 30 from eBay. I got the mechanism working again straight away with a few drops of Ballistol. The nasty clanking and clattering has turned into a smooth running sound. The measured running times of the spring mechanism at the various film speeds are now always nicely quadratic. My questions. Which (Foma?) black-and-white film (as there seem to be different versions) should I use? Can I get the film developed through our landlord? Can I use a standard S8 projector???
