The two of us run a lovely, and not-so-small, black and white darkroom in Heidelberg Rohrbach on a private basis. As it is a private operation and not yet running at full capacity, we could accommodate one or two more black and white enthusiasts on a cost-sharing basis.
The lab is just under 30 square metres in size, comprising a darkroom and a lightroom – the latter with natural light, toilet facilities and accessible at any time of the day or night, as it is located in a basement in a back courtyard.
Due to its basement location, the temperature remains a constant 20 degrees in summer and around 16–20 degrees in winter (it can be heated).
You’ll have shared use of a DURST Laborator CLS 1000 and the general facilities. If needed, there’s space for a smaller developing tank, and there’s certainly room for general bits and bobs too. We are in the lab a maximum of 1 to 2 times a week, meaning you will usually have it to yourself.
