Does it matter? There wasn't much going on anyway.

Mirko,
> If you’d logged out, there would have been a warning.
Logged out? Really? Was that possible? I’ve never done that. On the contrary: I actually found it very handy, as you only had to clear that one cookie to be up to date again straight away. The current need to log in again and again, on the other hand, I find ‘annoying’, to put it politely in English.
Besides, something isn’t quite right there. At work I browse via a proxy and don’t have to log in again every time. At home without a proxy, I have to. The computer and browser configurations are otherwise identical.

Nope. I’m a member and definitely couldn’t do that. Neither at home nor at work.

Ah yes. I think that’s good, and that *is* a reason for the transition period!
Wowirjaschonmalhiersind: I think the ‘move’ of the rental lab is a good idea. I never understood what led you to set up such a large lab without any means of supervision anyway. And if you’re now putting a 13x18 machine in there as well... I’d be happy to pop round in the evenings at least once during my stays in Berlin to make use of the equipment :-) Ludwigsfelde isn’t that far away, and I do pop over there now and then. About twice a year, maybe more later on.

Franz,
Try clearing all your cookies.
The 'stay logged in' feature works perfectly for me.

Hi Mirko,
There's more to it than that. That certainly wasn't it.

Hi Franz,
We don’t yet know whether we’ll be able to fit a 13x18 in the new rental lab.
It’s not actually designed to accommodate a floor-standing unit.
At the moment, there’s a 45-inch model with an Aristo in there.
Of course, it would have been better to set up the lab right here with us back in 2001, but as you’ve been here before, you’ve surely noticed that our street has (unfortunately) become extremely trendy.
All the big fashion brands have set up flagship stores here; Adidas, Boss, Lacoste, Ripley, Diesel, Nike and others are all within 50 metres as the crow flies.
On top of that, there are about 80 models and 50 hairdressers :-(
Since 2001, it’s been almost impossible to rent space for less than 50 EUR per square metre.
That’s why Mietlabor was previously two streets away, as the difference in rent would have amounted to three months’ rent.
However, as neither one nor the other could be made viable with Mietlabor, we’ve now scaled the whole thing down drastically. The one room we happened to be able to secure along with other spaces will hopefully cover the costs.
These are rooms I had rented on a long-term basis in the late 90s, but then sublet to good friends. They have now found somewhere a bit cheaper and have vacated the premises.
We’re currently chiselling through the wall to connect the property.
Not a pleasant job in this heat....

Hi Mirko,
> We don’t yet know whether we’ll be able to fit into the new rental salon by 13x18.
That’s true. There’s quite a difference in space requirements between the compact models and the 138 series :-) And I doubt there’ll be that many people using the 13x18 without their own equipment.
> On top of that, there are about 80 models and 50 hairdressers :-(
That’s brilliant: your customers can now keep their partners occupied and finally shop at Impex in peace. Let’s do the maths: 50 hairdressers × 4 chairs plus a waiting area equals up to 250 customers in about 120 minutes. Bottom line: your shop will be too small and you’ll have to hire staff as well...
Besides, we’re actually only short of 20 shoehorns, but the street is starting to run out of space for them too ;->

Quite right. Good luck with it!
