The large-format camera on the optical bench remains the most important tool in professional architectural photography. Both digital and analogue.
<p style="color:rgb(28,29,29);font-family:'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;">Only with it can perspectives be corrected, planes of focus set and converging lines balanced through appropriate adjustments without losing quality or time in post-production.
<p style="color:rgb(28,29,29);font-family:'Open Sans', HelveticaNeue, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;">But what is the best way to photograph architecture?
In this workshop, participants will learn how to use one of the most modern digital view cameras. They will work ‘on location’ in Berlin at Tempelhof Airport with the Linhof 679 and a PhaseOne Back. In addition to the technical aspects, compositional strategies will be explained. On the first day, they will see from example photographs what high-quality final results look like and gain insights into the insider knowledge of a professional. They will then familiarise themselves with the technical camera and learn how to adjust its various settings. On the second day, participants will explore interesting architectural sites in Berlin. Under professional guidance, they will photograph their chosen subject. At the end, the photographs will be discussed and evaluated together.
