Hello, I’d like to develop Lucky SHD 100 in A49. Could someone please tell me the processing times and agitation intervals? The developer packets are at least five years old – can I still use them?
Thanks in advance, Knut

Hi,
As long as the sachets are sealed, you can use them without any problems – if you tip out the "powder" and it looks strangely discoloured or has turned into a rock-hard lump, it means it’s absorbed moisture, so you can bin it...
Otherwise, www.digitaltruth.com says
SHD 100 Calbe A49 1+1 100ASA 10min 20C

Hi Sebastian,
Regarding how to handle old powder-based materials: ACK.
And as for the times listed in the Massive Development chart: you’ll need to test those yourself. The times given there have been tested by other people (i.e. no one knows how they expose, tilt, rotate, how accurate their thermometer is, whether they include the pour-in and pour-out times, etc.).
But as a first guide to whether you’ll end up with a time between three and five minutes or more likely between fifteen and eighteen minutes, it’s useful.
Perhaps the lab in Berlin, with those friendly Impexers there, knows a lot more than they’ve told Mirko so far for the table :-)
Best regards,
Franz

Hi Sebastian,
It’s probably a bit too late for a reply, but...
At 20°C with a 1:2 dilution, 20 minutes seems ideal at first glance... I won’t be able to say anything more specific until later... the two little beauties still need to dry :D
