Hello,
I usually shoot and develop Fomapan 400 in
Rodinal at ISO 200.
Does anyone have any experience with the development of Fomapan 400
as ISO 200 film in Atomal 49? I haven’t found much information about this online.
Is the development time the same as with Rodinal, or what has been your experience?
Thanks
Moritz

I haven’t tried this myself, but according to the data sheet, it takes 8–10 minutes, depending on the desired gamma level; see the attachment.

Yes. Normal development time and exposure at 200 ISO. That should be fine.

I’d agree. But if it’s a 35mm film, why not develop the leader and the blank frame as a test strip?
You don’t need to use a whole developer tank for this. A black film canister will do; just pour in 30ml of developer. Cut off a piece of film about a hand’s width and put it in. Put the lid on and develop it exactly as you would a whole roll. That gives you a reference point, and you can then develop the whole film with confidence.
