Hello
I’d like to use D76 with Tri-X for the first time.
What development time would you recommend for a 1+1 single-use solution?
10 minutes (according to Kodak) or 12 minutes (according to lots of lists I’ve found online)?

12 minutes: agitate continuously for the first 30 seconds, then agitate for 10 seconds every full minute. D76 1+1 at 20°C.
This has always worked well for me. The effective speed (better shadow detail) is 250 ISO, so you’ll need to develop for about 9 minutes and 45 seconds.

!Warning: personal opinion!
I find that D76 comes out a bit harsh. So you can easily reduce the processing time by a minute or even two, especially if you’ve performed the exposure at 250 ISO. (So 8:00–8:45 mins.)
However, it MAY well be that my light meter tends to overexpose slightly (I’ve suspected this for a while) OR that my thermometer is reading a slightly lower temperature, meaning I’m constantly involved in development at around 22 degrees. Just a thought.
