The Tetenal Drysonal bottles state that Drysonal is only suitable for black-and-white film. Does anyone know for certain whether it really shouldn’t be used with colour film? What might happen if you do use it anyway?
Thanks!

Ingo,
Drysonal contains methylated spirits, so I wouldn’t use it because of the risk of colour changes (which might occur later on).
In theory, you could soak a piece of transparency in water and then put it in Drysonal to see what happens.
However, this might even vary from one brand of film to another.

It just occurred to me that the colour couplers are protected (at least in films from the Western world); if you use Drysonal, they diffuse through the emulsion and the image becomes out of focus and pretty much ruined.
