Hello forum members, I’ve discovered a real love for ADOX films and develop them using Ilford Rapid Fixer. The package insert states that the fixer is not compatible with Hütter. I’ve now used Tetenal Hütter several times and haven’t noticed any problems so far. What could happen? Dieter Schuld

Dieter, I think it’s rather unlikely that there’ll be a chemical reaction, apart from perhaps a slight variation in the pH level. If you want to be on the safe side, simply put the Hüter in the stop bath or perform a dilution to create a ‘Hüter bath’. The fixing and rinsing times may need to be extended! Hüter is generally compatible with Tetenal Superfix and Adofix without any problems. Best regards, Mirko
