Good afternoon, Mr Bäcker
As we do not know each other, I would like to introduce myself briefly. Like you, I work in the retail sector. I have recently started reading your forum and also the Phototec forum. In doing so, I have noticed that both forums are being misused. One of your members is using the forums in a way that is damaging to your business. Under the username chb, he posts replies to your customers’ questions on this forum, giving the impression of being friendly and competent – which, unfortunately, he is not, at least not in every post. However, I cannot judge them all. Under his name, Franz S Borgerding, he then posts on the other forum. There, however, he is not very friendly. To put it simply: chb pretends to be your friend, congratulates you on your birthday, but then tries to stir up ill feeling against you in the Phototec forum. If, as an interested reader, one follows both forums, one draws the following conclusion at first glance: you are a money-grubber out to make a quick buck, and the same applies to Maco.
To explain this, I would like to illustrate it with examples from your product range:
On the Phototec Forum, he praises the products from the Adox-Efke-Foma range that Mr Löfler does not stock to the skies and gives numerous tips on successful processing; I cannot and will not verify the accuracy of his claims. The situation is different with Maco products. These are absolutely dreadful and are sold at extortionate prices. However, he does not wish to prove this; like me, he refuses to provide evidence and simply calls for a boycott.
In the FOTOIMPEX forum, the situation is suddenly different: the ADOX-Efke-Foma products are absolutely dreadful and are sold by you at extortionate prices, whilst the Maco products are ignored. If a question arises on this, he doesn’t respond. But I can understand that; I don’t have all day to devote to my hobby either, and I can’t and won’t answer every beginner’s question.
Mr Löfler has a similar problem when it comes to answering his customers’ questions. As I said, his range is ignored, and instead there are only tips on how to process his products, which, in Mr Borgerding’s view, are useless. If someone has a question about a product, fortunately for the consumer, they are informed that there is no need to buy items at full price from Mr Löfler; it is much better to buy on eBay, either new or second-hand. However, I myself cannot verify the accuracy of these statements. I am not a member of eBay and therefore have no choice but to compare your price lists, Mr Löfler’s, and those of Brenner Fotoversand. I haven’t ordered anything from Foto Koch or Würzburger Fotoversand for quite some time and therefore no longer receive catalogues from those penny-pinchers. Mr Löfler has done the same to me; for cost reasons, he allegedly no longer prints catalogues. This forces me to buy a PC and order his products from the online shop. But I have absolutely no desire to do that. I really don’t like sitting at a PC. But if I don’t surf the internet much now, I’m just throwing money down Deutsche Telekom’s throat for the flat-rate package, without any benefit. I cannot and will not prove the accuracy of my statements in this context. It’s just that nagging feeling that everyone in this world is only after my money; I am therefore compelled to name names in this context. If, like Harry Potter, I just keep saying ‘You know who I’m talking about’, no one will notice this international conspiracy.
I haven’t spoken to my solicitor yet; hopefully I haven’t offended, defamed or anything like that with my open letters. I certainly wouldn’t want to do that. I’m afraid of the law; I’ve already got a criminal record. But that’s not really my fault – if my neighbour hadn’t reported me, I’d have money to spare right now. I’ll get my own back on him at some point, though; at the moment I’m just badmouthing him behind his back. When he later found out, through a rumour I’d started, that the other neighbour had ended up paying about 50 euros less for his Opel Zafira, he went ballistic. I’ve no idea how the car dealership works, but neither does he, so the idiot just believed it, hehehe.
My mum always told me that honesty and decency are the best ways to get through life, but she also used to tell me that Father Christmas exists. In reality, she had to work hard for the presents. But she just lies, I know that from my brother, though I’d wish the plague on him – after all, I’ve got a school-leaving certificate.
My wife’s just asking what I’m doing here; I’ve got to stop, I’m far too chatty. But you must read this now, because you know, if I don’t realise you’re not interested enough in me, I’ll tell Mr Löfler. He’s bound to read everything that’s written on his forum; he’s got the whole day to do it, he really doesn’t need to earn a penny. And since I post under ‘eff-jay’ on both forums, everyone knows straight away who I am.
Best regards, Franz-Josef. You already know my name and address.

Mr eff-jay,
Seriously, what on earth is this all about? What do you have to say? I already had trouble making sense of your nonsensical post in the neighbouring forum. But it seems I wasn’t the only one.
Instead of arguing with your wife about all the typing you do on the computer, or chatting up neighbours, forum members and so on, perhaps you should think about finding a physical outlet for your mental issues. Sport in all its forms is supposed to help. Or you could take your wife out for a nice meal so that you can forget the wickedness of the world in general and the malice of certain forum members in particular; perhaps that might also give you an idea of what you could do together after the meal – so that you can forget your expensive internet flat rate for a moment.
With all due respect, you need help.
Regards, Karsten.

Hello
My answer, as briefly as possible
Mutuality – Everyone helps everyone else
Help – If you need help, ask the experts
Exchange – In return, you help others
Enforce these rules.
If you notice that someone isn’t following these rules, point it out
My approach. Try to illustrate the rules using clear examples that are as generally understandable as possible. This draws attention to a problem. Encourage your fellow members to capitalise on the curiosity this arouses and then start researching. When you then investigate the truth of the matter, read the posts by Franz S Borgerding or chb.
You will then realise that the system can only work if everyone tries to stick to it.
Otherwise, I would like to refer to the rules I try to adhere to; if I do not always succeed, I ask for your forgiveness.
Human dignity is inviolable
My freedom ends where another’s begins
I do not inflict upon others what I would not want done to myself
Every person has a right to freedom and the pursuit of happiness
Unity, justice and freedom
The common good takes precedence over the good of the individual
Power in the state derives from the people
This is a free quotation; I do not know when or from whom I heard it.
If I believe I am the only one who does not have to abide by this system, I am the one who destroys it. Therefore, I try to abide by it.
If anyone believes that, because of this attitude, I am mentally ill, then that is correct. As soon as I no longer realise that I am ill, I am.
But I can live with that.
I have said this anonymously to protect my physical safety. I am afraid of the people who want to destroy this system.
In future, if I have a short answer, I will simply refer to this post.
Best regards, Franz-Josef
