Hi, does anyone know much about the Magnifax 4a’s reproduction system and can tell me which 6x9 flat film cassettes are compatible?
Thanks, Mattes

...the covered, square Meopta 6x9 cassettes with their flat film inserts.
They couldn’t be sold for 20 cents each for 15 years and ended up in the bin in December, before the stock-take.
Sorry,
Mirko

Hi Mirko, is this something standardised or a Meopta original? I was actually planning to fit the reproduction unit to a Polaroid CU-5. It’s a shame, but what’s done is done.

Hi Mirko,
Do you remember the dimensions and what they looked like? I’ve got a few 6x9 cassettes here that I can’t quite place. Maybe I can squeeze a few square centimetres of space on the shelf and the OP can have his cassettes...
Best wishes, Peter

A Meopta DIY model, as far as I can tell.
All the ‘standard’ cassettes had some sort of guide slots, but these were simply folded over at right angles.
The inserts should, however, be compatible with one another.
I don’t think it’s possible to use the adapter in daylight....

Mirko

Hello,
External dimensions: 7.5 cm x 12.3 cm (excluding the fold); standard flat film inserts fit inside. Are these the ones you’re looking for?
Regards, Peter

The external dimensions are correct. They must be approximately 4 mm thick.
