I picked up this teleconverter at a car boot sale.
Can anyone tell me which camera system it’s for?

It looks to me like a Canon FD; perhaps I’ll give a lens like that a go.

Well, I never would have guessed it was a Canon FD.
Because of the locking ring

Well then, if I ever come across a suitable Canon,
I’ll certainly have a converter for it

All the old FD lenses had a locking ring. It’s only the new ones, also known as FDn, that don’t have one; with those, the whole lens is rotated to lock it in place, whereas with the old ones, only the chrome ring is turned.
