Does anyone know if you can still get black-and-white paper with a ‘Chamois’-tinted backing? You know, that slightly reddish-yellow colour. In my opinion, Ilford Warmtone is just yellow. (I don’t mind who makes it, as long as it’s Chamois!)

Simon,
‘Chamois’ refers to a yellowish colour, not a reddish one.
We have our PW17 in stock: Polywarmtone Chamois.

Simon,
You’re right about that, but as far as I know, that sort of paper isn’t available anymore.
Maco used to have something like that (and emphasised that they were the last ones to still have genuine chamois), but I’ve never actually used it.
Yellow is ivory
Yellow-brown is chamois
and bluish is helioton
I’d advise you to take a piece of paper and soak it in coffee for a few minutes; you’ll have to find the right concentration to suit your taste.

Foma 542 (€) used to be chamois-coloured, but the new batch is more beige, and the surface is just like Kentmere Classic!
Mirko, I’ve never seen PW17 in your catalogue :( It’s my favourite paper!

Phillipe,
We have the PW in stock, but because sales are low, we only receive a delivery once a year.
Most sizes are available, though, and the price is the same as for the PW14 or PW15.
Best regards,
Mirko
