<DIV>To calibrate sheet films densitometrically, you can use a Stouffer wedge. As I didn’t have one, I came up with the solution
to expose 7 zones on a sheet of sheet film by starting with the cassette slide open and an aperture of f/64, then gradually
closing the slide whilst opening the camera aperture accordingly. This produced the expected gradation of black levels on the film. This method is entirely sufficient for determining the essential gamma value.
I have attached a table to aid understanding for those interested.
