Hello, Just look at this: AGFAPHOTO (in liquidation) as an eBay shop :) !!! A few dealers were recently offered the chance to cart away the (residue) stock from Leverkusen themselves for a minimum of 5,000 EUR (cash, of course :) ) on a ‘collect only’ basis (!!!) ... Now, apparently, they can’t clear the warehouses fast enough. I’d just be interested to know what Uncle Schröer, as the liquidator of exclusive materials :o, has to say about this... How creative they used to be B) back in the day, selling off material without a trace (ahem!)... will the casting machines and recipes soon be going under the EBAY hammer too??? I had a look at it. These prices are only of interest to very small buyers or private customers. I very much doubt that they’ll be offering black-and-white film there. What Agfa couldn’t shift even before it went bust was colour film, and it went under because of developments in the colour market. That stuff is difficult to sell off, and that’s what this shop will be for. The large casting machine cannot be sold off because it is no longer economically viable to operate. Anyone who buys it is either a lottery winner and a bit of a joker, or will go bankrupt again very soon. Regards, Mirko

...I don't think so – it'll be a perfect blend/fusion of the former states: BDR = Federal Democratic Republic or something like that... ;-)))

Immediately after reunification, the old GDR car stickers were no longer valid. In Poland and the Czech Republic (the border guards there are veeeeeery strict), you couldn’t enter the country without a D sticker. That’s why many people tried to turn their GDR D stickers into D stickers right at the border, as a new sticker cost an outrageous amount of money at the exchange office there. So there were various approaches: -D- (D crossed out, D, R crossed out) D-- (D, D crossed out, R crossed out) a big bold D painted over the whole thing cut off on the right and left, etc. My approach was to put a small black line in the middle of the first D – an almost cosmetic operation that was rewarded with a smile from the customs officer. And so DDR became BDR (Federal German Republic?)...... Well, it was enough for the border to the Czech Republic; the rest is open to interpretation. Mirko

The colour paper actually seems quite cheap to me. If I had a minilab, I’d definitely consider it. The disposable cameras would be just the thing for a camera shop...
