Hi there!
Can anyone help me? I need a 39mm lens board for my Opemus 5. I want to use a 50mm lens, but at the moment I only have an 80mm Anaret with a 23.5mm adapter. Will the Kaiser lens board do the job? :)

Hi Viki,
You can find this lensboard on page 67 of our catalogue.
A Kaiser lensboard will not fit, as it is manufactured by a different company.
The price is €14 plus tax (where applicable).
If you are from the US or the UK, you can also enquire with our affiliated companies, J&C or Retrophotographic.
However, if you wish to use a 50 mm lens, you must mount the lensboard upside down (like a hat, not a pot), and large-diameter lenses such as the Rodagon 2.8/50 will not fit in this position, as it was designed for narrow metal lenses and not for the large plastic lenses used nowadays.
Best regards from Berlin,
Mirko

Thanks, Mirko!

OK, if I buy a 39mm lens board for my Opemus 5, which 50mm lens can I use? The Rodagon 2.8/50 won't fit... The El Nikkor 50mm, perhaps? Which one should I buy? Narrow metal lenses? Help me

Hi Viki,
You can fit the Rodagon into the plate, but it will only engage with 2–3 threads of the plastic thread.
Usually you can screw it in 3 mm.
If you find this acceptable, you can order the lens board.
However, only Rodagons work where the f-stop is at the lower end.
If the entire plastic body needs to be turned, it won’t work as it will get jammed.
