B) Hello, My father has found an old film cartridge in one of his old photos, and we’d like to have it developed. It says: Kodak Gold film, Process C-41 GB 126 24 exp. I think these cartridges are called Instamatic films. Do you know where we can get them developed and how much it will cost? Many thanks!

You can get them at Schlecker, Rossmann, many supermarkets and specialist photography shops. The internet isn’t much help – it’s so difficult to get hold of the film online :-)

When I hand in the film at Schlecker, I get it back with a note saying: "The development and processing of Disc and Instamatic films are no longer available".......... I don’t know Rossmann; we don’t have any here.

Yeah, that’s actually stated in the terms and conditions available there. I only listed those shops as examples (I certainly didn’t mean to single out dm or Mediamarkt in any way). In any case, your local photo shop will be able to help you, or you could go straight to a specialist lab such as Studio 13. Photo Studio 13 GmbH Heilbronner Straße 1 D-70771 Leinfelden-Echterdingen Tel.: +49 711 79084-0 Mr Rothbart is responsible for film development; his extension is -35. Studio 13 is a specialist lab. You pay for that, of course.
