Hello,
I’ve got a few questions on my mind; perhaps someone knows a bit more about them.
First of all: Efke 100, Fomapan 100 and 400, and Classic Pan 200 and 400 – does anyone know which manufacturer seems to be the most reliable?
Does anyone have an opinion on Maco (do they still exist? Or is it Rollei now?) and Fortepan?
And then there’s this: I live in England – I can get hold of some of these films here. It’s a shame that they hardly stock any film by the metre here anymore. I’ve just seen on Retro Photographic that they’ve been waiting for a supply of Classic Pan for some time now.
Classic Pan – who makes it?
Retro Photographic in England and FOTOIMPEX seem to have somehow, I don’t know, joined forces, or perhaps one has bought the other out. Does anyone know what this partnership is like?
I’ve just asked Retro Photographic when Classic Pan will be available again, and the reply I received was polite, but very frosty and – I got the impression – almost a bit hostile.

We do expect to have them back in stock, but I can’t tell you exactly when – negotiations with the manufacturers are ongoing and that’s all I can really say at this stage.

That was the reply from retrophotographic.
We can now be a little more precise: the 400 ISO 35mm film will be back in stock next week. We have enough raw material but there were issues with the packaging.
Hence the delay.
We’ve had over 5,000 200-speed and roll films in stock since January.
Everything has been available at all times.
Best regards,
Mirko
