Hello Miko,
I’m looking for a quick fixer for film that is guaranteed to be free of bismuth.
I use PMK Pyro for film development and have so far been using Kodak F 24 fixer that I mix myself.
Kind regards,
Wolfgang

Wolfgang,
Virtually every modern commercial ammonium thiosulphate-based rapid fixer on the market is sold without a hardener; that’s why Kodak and TT offer separate alum hardeners. In the US, Kodak even supplies the hardener in a separate bottle when you buy the fixer; you simply measure out and use as required.
With Agfa Universal FX or Agefix, with Amaloco X, with the ADOX labels, or with TT Superfix, you won’t have any problems in that regard.
As you’re using a staining developer, you’ll probably want to follow the trend (or hype?) towards alkaline or neutral fixers. We have a recommendation here in the shop – Calbe FX-R, a universal fixer for B&W, C41 and E6. Perhaps Mirko still has some in the cellar... good stuff at a reasonable price.

FX-R costs €5.00 plus VAT for a 10-litre supply = 330 films.
It’s a bit of a rare item, so it has to be ordered separately, which is a bit of a faff... if the girls are being stubborn, just give them a nudge and they’ll order it too ;-)
Best regards,
Mirko
