I received an email from you on 14 July 2005 confirming my order. Status: "In stock: 22755 ADOLIGHT 3 X INCLUDING 3 spiral bulbs with softbox cover – 2 pieces"
I was asked to get in touch immediately if the details were incorrect.
As the details were correct, I did not get in touch.
As the delivery time had become too long for me today (25 July 2005) (I need the lamps urgently), I rang you.
The response, which I found astonishing, was: “We are waiting for your confirmation. If I can find your credit card details, I will arrange for the goods to be dispatched.”
I hope you haven’t thrown my credit card details in the bin and that I can expect the bulbs soon.

Hello Peter,
I’ve had a quick look at it.
I’m not sure exactly how the order was received by us, but on 14 July we didn’t process an order; instead, we issued a quotation. This was also included as a PDF attachment.
The girls always do this when something is unclear – e.g. if there’s a postage surcharge, an item is missing, or there was no binding order, etc.
That’s why the invoice amount shown in the email was still listed as zero euros.
It’s good that you got in touch – the wording in the email is indeed a bit misleading if you don’t open the PDF attachment. I’m sure others feel the same way.
I’ll go and reprogram that straight away.
It’s always difficult to create a process where no mistakes can be made.
By the way, the parcel was dispatched today.
Best regards,
Mirko

Hi Mirko!
Thanks for your reply.
I did indeed read the attachment. However, as I found a customer number and an invoice number, I didn’t think anything of the invoice amount being 0 (or rather, I assumed it had something to do with the credit card payment method).
It would be good if the communication were a bit clearer, so that even simple folk like me could react straight away.
I’m really looking forward to the much-anticipated lamps.
Best regards, Peter

Hello!
After my criticism, here’s some praise.
The lamps arrived (once the misunderstanding had been cleared up) promptly and well-packaged.
I’m now very happy with you :-)))
Best wishes, Peter
