Hi everyone,
Does anyone have any experience of what happens when you expose and develop with Tanol N+1/N+2? Do the shadows run?
I’m at my wits’ end trying to get negatives that are hard enough for POP.
Now that I’ve finally got a print control chart, it turns out that this stuff renders 3–4 steps of 0.15 stops, or half a stop, softer than my other ‘high-quality printing’ processes.
Not to mention the film, which also needs to achieve a Dmax of at least 2.5 to get the range in the first place. So far I’ve been experimenting with ClassicPan 400, as the extra two stops of speed on 8x10 should be an attractive option compared to the standard. But I suppose I’ll have to try out Effke for comparison.
Any other ideas?
Regards
Martin
