Hello forum,
I’m a bit confused about the development times for two Efke 25 films >at the same time< in Tenetal Neofin Blaue. This is my first time using it, as NBL is supposed to be ideal for Efke 25. FOTOIMPEX specifies 7 minutes for one film. Fair enough. The Tenetal instructions state that with a dilution to 700ml (which is what fits in the double tank), a dilution factor of 1.3 must be used, and if you’re developing two films, an extra 20% of time is added to the development time.
So do I first add the 20% to the 7 minutes and then apply a dilution factor of 1.3 on top of that? Or the other way round? Isn’t that a bit long? Does anyone have a foolproof method? :) They’re not my films and it would be a shame if I ‘over-developed’ them.
Thanks :)
Kind regards,
Nadine

Nadine,
Multiply the factors: 1.2 × 1.3 = 1.56. According to Tetenal, the development times for Efke 14 are 4 minutes with a condenser and 5 minutes with a colour head or multigrade, using a 3-second agitation cycle.
