For sale: a Durst 609 enlarger, a rarer model, maximum negative format 6×9.5 cm, with adjustable masks in the negative stage up to approx. 4.5×6 cm, including an additional film stage for 35 mm film, Schneider Componar lens. A ‘Durst-Seimar’ adapter for 50mm lenses with an M39 thread (for 35mm negatives) is also included. (The Componar is also very good for enlarging 35mm negatives, though with larger image formats the distance to the base plate becomes very great. Up to 13×18 is perfectly feasible, even larger, but for cropped enlargements a 35mm lens is still better. Anyone still working with the now rarely used 6x9 format will find this unit very useful; there is also a note on the unit regarding its use as a projector (with the ventilation flap open for bulbs up to 150W); normally a 60–75W opal bulb is fitted, but I have also produced posters using a 150W bulb; the enlarger head can be rotated horizontally to project the image onto a wall. I am asking €250 for the enlarger; viewing in person and collection by the buyer are both welcome.
Kind regards, Ralf

P.S. It has been pointed out to me (and rightly so) that slide projection is only possible using film strips, as there is no stage for slide frames. To my knowledge, there are no 6x9 slides either. Film strips (negatives or slides) can, of course, be projected onto the wall without any problem. Kind regards, Ralf

P.S. It also comes with an "enlargement cassette" for enlargements with a white border. Kind regards, Ralf
