Hello!
I’d like to give the CG 512 developer a go. Does anyone know of a good source for recommended development times and agitation rates for the following films:
APX 100
Pan+
SFX 200
Best regards,
Henning.

The CG 512 is an absolutely superb deep-layer developer and is at least similar in composition (possibly identical, as both were developed by the chemist Udo Raffey) to the Cube XS. For example, it produced the very best results with the APX25, but also works very well with the Delta 100, the APX 100 and the TMax films! Drawbacks: long development times; the actual ASA settings are lower!
Some development times (as a guide for your own tests) at a dilution of 1+4:
Agfa APX 100, (ASA 64): 16 minutes
ILFORD Pan F (ASA 32): 15 minutes
It is important to maintain the development temperature precisely at 24 degrees Celsius plus or minus 0.5 degrees!
Agitation: Agitate or tilt continuously for the first 15 seconds, then tilt twice after a further 15 seconds. Thereafter, tilt twice every 30 seconds. Developer tanks filled to less than half their capacity should only be tilted once!
