Hello,
High-gloss films from Büscher and Kaiser are available in shops, and I’m due to get a new one soon.
Does anyone have any experience of which is better? My last one – and my first – was Kindermann, but they don’t make those anymore.
I’m particularly interested in their gloss finish, scratch resistance, resistance to chipping, and whether the paper tends to stick.
Many thanks in advance,
Roland

Hi Roland,
Mine are from VEB Foto Galvano and work a treat. I bought them on Strombucht for 9 marks each. They still had their original packaging; the RRP for the ‘A4 colour film’ was 16.20 East German marks back then. (Grotewohl would have been delighted if he could read now that the ‘Ostmark’-to-euro exchange rate means the East German mark is worth more than the West German mark :-)
I’m not thinking about the other high-gloss films at the moment and am currently looking for a larger one on eBay.
Best regards,
Franz
