I have two questions
1. A while ago I saw the Shen Hao cameras listed on your website – or was it JandC?
They’ve gone now; what happened?
2. You stock lensboards for Opemus enlargers. Are the recessed 39mm thread lensboards for the Opemus 5 different from those for the Opemus 6?

Dear Soren,
We discussed this at length with Shen Hao at Photokina.
They refuse to establish any kind of dealer pricing structure or volume discounts and told us that it is company policy to sell to anyone at the same price, regardless of whether they are a distributor, dealer or end customer.
They will sell to you directly from China at the same price they sell to a dealer like us.
As most people do not understand the costs involved in importing (paperwork fees, customs declaration fees, import tax, sales tax, transport costs, etc.), the price difference between the price we can offer you and the listed price in China will be around 100%.
This will encourage all customers to buy directly.
So in the end, we’ll be left with all the marketing costs, the work and repair jobs, whilst the turnover is lost to direct sales from China. German customers, in particular, love to do things like this and always look for the best price – no matter what the service is like.
Under these difficult circumstances, we unfortunately had to abandon the idea of selling Shen Hao cameras altogether. :ph34r:

Opemus: Of course there is a difference. Otherwise the lensboard would be called "lensboard for Opemus 2-6" :ph34r:
The lensboard for the 6 is larger and will not fit on the 5.

Thanks for your reply, Mirko. And sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
I was given some enlarger accessories and found a recessed lensboard that would fit on my enlarger :)
It has a 39mm thread so it fits my El-Nikor too :D
Unfortunately it won’t fit both at the same time :(
On the other hand there was a 50mm Schneider Kreuznach that will ;)
So problem solved.
