Hurrah!
After a break and a bit of hard work, everything is now ready in my very first darkroom.
Today I carried out a light-blocking test whilst the sun was shining brightly outside.
Everything’s fine.
I’ve only spotted a few ‘light sources’ in the room, though I can’t gauge how harmful they might be.
- a green power light on the freezer
- a red glow lamp on the emergency heating switch
- the fluorescent scale on the enlarger timer.
What effect will this have on undeveloped film and paper?
Regards, Harald.

Cover with tape during film development; ignore the red indicator light when using paper; check the green power light if handling paper in the immediate vicinity.

For safety, place a towel over it until the film is in the canister.
