Hello, I have a Meopta 6 with a 100W opal lamp, and the exposure times for paper seem too long to me, especially when compared to other figures in the forums (assuming a 2x stop reduction). Could it be that the condenser lenses are assembled incorrectly? Regards Phaul http://www.egozwo.net

Hi phaul, On my 5-series, the condenser is assembled correctly when the smooth sides of the lenses are on the outside and parallel to each other. You can’t really go far wrong with that. Have you adjusted the lamp at the top of the housing correctly? Is there perhaps a diffuser/grey filter in the filter drawer? And then, of course, it still depends on the negative density and the magnification ratio :-) Best regards, Franz

Why not try a 150-watt bulb? A incorrectly fitted condenser (e.g. inserted at an angle) will initially result in uneven lighting rather than dimmer lighting. Regards, Dierk
