Hi!
I’ve seen some updates regarding Forte on the German section of the forum.
As I can’t speak or read German, I didn’t understand much of it.
Could you please post a translation here?
It seems you need our help or feedback on the Forte documents?
So it would be helpful for all international customers to know the exact situation in this case!
Thanks a lot for your help!
P.S.: Have you considered a newsletter for customers?
P.S. 2: You wrote that Forte needs €100,000. What about a partnership or asking your customers to buy a share?
Have a nice day!

Hi Georges,
The latest posts include some small talk and some important points:
The administrator wants to restart production. Subject to the following conditions:
- Advance payment.
- Customers are asked to place orders for six months’ supply.
- He is prioritising Forte’s 10 most important customers.
- Production will begin once all financial requirements have been met.
- Consequently, not all products will continue to be manufactured.
However, there are still some issues to be resolved: No one knows whether the machinery will survive being started up again after such a long time; quite a few legal matters need to be sorted out.
There is some hope, but a long way to go.
That is why Mirko has asked about our requirements. He will place the order and pay Forte in advance, but needs to know our requirements first. So if you need Forte products, please let Mirko know how much you expect to need over the next six months. This isn’t an order, but it will help Mirko calculate his order with Forte. He has already paid their electricity bill.
That is – in my rotten English – a brief summary of the situation.
Best regards,
Franz

Hi Georges,
Forte needs more than €100,000.
I can’t remember off the top of my head if I ever mentioned that figure, but it was probably in reference to the increase in our stock of materials, which we had to do in order to keep supplying.
It’s the same now. They want payment in advance for the orders, so we can only buy as much as our financial resources allow.
This is why we are asking all larger customers for prepayment as well and trying to secure as many orders as possible. The more orders they receive now, the more likely it is that the decision will be made to keep them afloat.
If no one places orders due to the difficult situation regarding prepayment and so on, the chances of them organising a profitable production under administration diminish. But this is now the most important thing. If they prove they can be profitable over the next three months, an investor is much more likely to be found and the administrator can be persuaded to keep them running.
Unfortunately, FOTOIMPEX does not have the financial resources to get involved here on a larger scale.
All we can do is help to secure orders and spread the word that you – the customers – should please be patient and not turn your back on Forte now.
Regards,
Mirko

Thanks, Mirko, for the information.
I posted a question on this forum in October about the situation with Forte.
I see that the discussion is still ongoing.
I will send you a private email with my personal requirements and needs regarding Forte products for 2005.
Perhaps this is the way for users of Forte films and papers to let you know what they might be interested in, so that you can have a rough estimate of the monthly orders.
It would be a great loss if Forte products were no longer available.
All the best,
Daniele
