Hi, I’d like to take black-and-white slides in poor lighting conditions, so I need information on which black-and-white film, after being exposed to 1600 ISO using the Foma kit, can be processed using the reverse process with specific development times and still produce usable results. The reason for my question is that having the Agfa Scala, pushed three stops to 1600 ISO, developed by a specialist lab is simply becoming too expensive in the long run. That’s why I’m looking for alternatives to developing it myself. I’m also interested in hearing about your experiences with the reversal processing of various black-and-white films using the Foma kit in general. So if anyone feels like it, please do share which films you’ve developed in the Foma kit and with what times. Regards from Hamburg Jü

You could try the new Rollei film; it works well for processing with all sorts of developers and is also said to cope with the rather demanding reversal process. I’ve had quite good results with the Foma kit and Fomapan R100; it also worked well with the Maco Orth 25. You have to be very careful with standard black-and-white films; I’ve managed to peel off the emulsion several times. Hello, Has anyone ever processed the – relatively new – Fuji Acroa Neopan 100 using a reversal developer kit and can report any decent results? Information on the initial development time and actual ISO settings would be veeeery helpful. Thanks Stefan Troitzsch If necessary: troitzsch@debitel.net
