Hello,
Is there any thin photographic paper available?
The trend seems to be clearly moving towards card-weight paper.
I couldn't find anything in the catalogue.
Thanks, Jakob

Hi,
Yes, there is thin paper too. Fomaspeed Variant is the thinnest PE paper I know of. I don’t know anything about baryta paper, but you can probably use the weight as a rough guide (lighter = thinner).

Hi Jakob,
There’s also the Fomaspeed 412, on 70gsm paper. It’s suitable as document paper for ‘binding directly into books’, otherwise it’s the same as the Variant.
Best regards

Correction:
Sorry, the 412 isn’t available in a variable version, only the standard one, and I’ve noticed it’s been removed from the new catalogue, though not from the website.
So I’ll just repeat Mirko’s standard response for this sort of thing:
“Give them a ring and have a moan.”
Best regards

Yes, we have everything in stock.
We can supply thin baryta paper, but not in all gradients and finishes.
We also stock ‘children’s paper’ in the shop for nurseries and schools.
It measures 7x10 cm, has a standard gradient, a glossy finish and is available in either paper or card stock.
Price per pack of 100 sheets: €3.00 / €3.48

Thanks for the replies.
So you have the Fomaspeed 412, on 70g paper, in stock?
Is there anywhere I can find the prices?
And apart from the size, what makes the 'nursery paper' so cheap?

Fomaspeed 412: approx. 20% more expensive than standard Fomaspeed.
Children’s paper: this is made from residues. In other words, it’s produced from the scraps left over from cutting larger formats.
But that doesn’t affect the quality. A jumbo roll of photo paper isn’t exactly a cow, is it?
