I couldn’t find the 10-pack in your online catalogue at the old price of €28 anymore; I’d been thinking of giving it a go soon.
Is the old price still valid (the unit price hasn’t changed either, has it)?

Hi Micha,
Foma has raised all our prices by a flat 9% at the Kina.
This meant we had to scrap everything that had fallen below cost price.
To ensure the price shock doesn’t hit you too hard, we’ve considered using the ‘Kohlsche salami tactic’ – adjusting prices bit by bit and, in the meantime, simply forgoing any profit.
Unfortunately, this 10-pack was one of the first products to be affected.
The idea is this: instead of raising prices, we’ll scrap the special offers for now and see if things settle down.
Next up are Fomatone PE and Baryt, where we’ve been scraping by on a 7% margin since March.
This is down to the hefty price rises imposed by the manufacturers of base materials. Foma is a very tough company that calculates precisely and tries to produce just-in-time. As a result, they don’t have as large a stock of raw materials as other manufacturers. (...and they aren’t bankrupt like others either).
If the price of support materials rises, Foma is usually the first company to adjust its prices.
But don’t worry, not all prices will go up. Only where there’s no other option.
