Hello!
I’m new here and last dabbled in darkroom work about 20 years ago.
As I’m currently in the process of getting all the equipment I need for film and paper development,
I’ve got the following question:
If I use the same dimensions for the paper developer as for the film developer,
could chemical residues cause the developers to interfere with one another?
(I am well aware that, for example, residues from the stop bath can render the developer unusable)
Greetings from Austria, peda

Hi Peda,
If you do it properly and always give your lab equipment a good clean after use, nothing bad will happen at all.
I’ve been using the same measuring cylinder for years for positive/negative developers, fixers and bleach/toner baths. But as I said: good lab practice also means keeping things clean whilst you work.
Best regards,
