Hi Harry,
Actually, that’s not a problem – analogue technology is, above all, simple and inexpensive.
You can fit the negatives into any glass stage; a 50mm lens covers the image circle, which means the difference compared to other film formats is already taken care of. From here on, it’s just like using 35mm film.
If the maximum magnification isn’t sufficient, you’ll need to get a lens with a shorter focal length. If the dust on the glass plates bothers you, you could cut (or have cut) suitable metal inserts to size.
You can do without the analysis of the data stored on the magnetic strip – your mind and your memory of the situation, and above all your vision of how it should turn out, are far more important than key data intended to make it easier for a machine to guess exactly that.
Best regards
Mirko
