Has anyone here tried exposing APX 400 at ISO 800?
My attempt to develop the film at f/0.9 resulted in some absolutely stunning images. Luckily, it was medium format.
Surely that should be easier to achieve with the much-praised A49. I’ve now gone and bought a 0.6l bag of it. As I’ve absolutely no idea about this developer, please could I have a tip...

I’ve actually had good results pushing the A49 myself – but with HP5+, TriX and Neopan 400, not with APX400; the old one wasn’t really suitable for pushing; even at its rated speed, it had a coarser grain than other 400 films. Perhaps the new one works better (at least when not pushed, it’s MUCH more likely to have a fine grain than the old one).
