Hello
Perhaps one of you knows something about this?
On my Adox Golf, the aperture settings are 6.5, 8, 11, 22 and e8
e8,
What does this value mean? Is it perhaps meant to be used like a pinhole camera with
very long exposure times, which would suit me perfectly.
Thanks in advance
Gast
What does the E8 look like when you look through it?

The aperture is then open by about 1.5 mm.
I thought someone might know the equivalent value. Perhaps it corresponds to an aperture of f/32 or f/64.

Hi IM,
Well, it’s definitely not a pinhole aperture setting!
You can’t create a pinhole aperture using a blade (at least not with the kind of blades used in normal cameras).
Firstly, it would be waaaay smaller, and secondly, it has to be made of a thin material – ideally super-thin – otherwise it scatters and reflects at the edges and you end up with out-of-focus images.
I’d just ignore this setting and only use the others.
If you want to determine the aperture value, just do a bracketed exposure and draw the appropriate conclusions.
It’s all quite simple in the analogue world :P

So, I’ve now removed the entire lens assembly and fitted a proper pinhole aperture, and I’m now only using the central shutter.
