Hello everyone!
Yesterday I tried to develop a roll of Fomapan R 100 Double Super 8 film in the Jobo tank, but unfortunately it went slightly wrong.
The tank only holds 15 metres of film and I loaded 10 metres. According to the instructions, I should only have needed 300 ml of developer. However, to ensure the film is completely covered by the liquid, I need a whole litre. But if I prepare a litre at a time, I can develop 40 metres of DS-8 film. But what if I’ve only had one exposure and only need that one roll? Is there a way to stretch the solutions, i.e. so that I don’t have to use up the whole batch of concentrates? Or do I always have to develop four rolls in a row and reuse the solutions multiple times?

Erm, just a silly question.
Which Jobo tank did you load 10 metres of film into???
And why do you need a litre of chemicals?
You didn’t just put the film straight into the can, did you.......

Of course, I’ve used a Jobo tank for Super 8, Double 8 and 16mm films. It all fits just fine. But to ensure the developer covers the entire film, I need 1 litre of liquid.
And that would be a waste...

Hmm, I’ve never seen a tank like that from Jobo before, hence my silly question. It must be an older model.
But basically, there’s no solution to your problem.
The process is tricky enough as it is, especially given how prone the Bleach bath is to oxidation.
If you carry out further dilution now, you’re on very thin ice.
All the times would also need to be adjusted.
I can really only advise you to develop 4 films at a time.
