Hello,
I finally found some time yesterday to use the DuKa and decided to try out a sheet of Foma paper straight away. Unfortunately, I can’t quite figure out what kind of base the paper has. It feels like baryta, the packet says ‘non-baryta base’, the Foma coding says ‘natural base’, and it curls a bit as it dries.
The name is Fomatone MG Classic, warm tone, variable contrast, non-baryta base, chamois 542.
My question now is: how should I wet it? As laboriously as baryta or as simply as PE?
Perhaps someone can help.
Best regards,
Michael
P.S. The paper has an ivory-like undertone and produces wonderful ‘old-fashioned’ portraits.
