How well do the Neopan 400 and A49 1+1 work together?
Has anyone tried them out yet? I’d like to
test this combination and then share my findings here.
Kind regards, Reinhold Schmelz

Hi Reinhold,
To cut a long story short – brilliant!!!
Neopan 400 at A 49 for 12.5 mins at 20 °C. Continuous for the first minute, then agitate once every minute. Each agitation takes me about 3 seconds, so not particularly fast.
I can highly recommend the Fuji Brothers from 100 to 1600 at A49.
Best regards,
Robert :)

Hello Robert,
How do you develop and expose the Neopan 1600 in A49 1+1?
Thanks
Robert

Hello Robert,
Expose the Neopan 1600 at 1600 ASA. If in doubt (if the light meter shows an intermediate reading), it’s better to overexpose slightly and then process in A49 1 + 2!! for 13 minutes – continuously for the first minute, then once every minute.
As I’ve mentioned several times before – this works well for me because I use a scanner after developing the film. Unfortunately, I have no idea how this film would behave in analogue processing!
Best regards,
Robert
