Hello!
I’ve now got three of them – much cheaper on eBay, and they even come with a camera. Besides, you can still get them from Kahl Film. Oh well. I’ve got three, and that should be enough for now.
Thanks anyway.
Kind regards,
Rene
Hello Ren?
Well, on reflection, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that it’s cheaper on eBay. Of course, you’re factoring in a discount for it being second-hand, the risk involved, and the fact that there’s ‘no guarantee’. That’s the beauty of it: everyone can decide for themselves whether to buy from Mriko B., Mr Kahl or on eBay. There’s no need to make a fuss about it.
What exactly are you accusing FOTOIMPEX of – that they’ve got the splinters back, or that a post was deleted? (A rhetorical question that doesn’t need answering.) Well, the post deletion was a bit... I mean, clumsy. But the host has already had his comeuppance for that. I think you should just let it go.
I myself have been wrestling with whether to reply, because I do feel that such unprofessional, somewhat rambling posts like mine lead to tiresome ‘discussions of decorum’ that greatly diminish the usefulness of a forum. I would therefore ask Mr Boeddecker and, of course, the other contributors here to remain calm. Nor would I mind if I did not receive a reply to this.
Finally, I would like to express my delight that, so far, there have been few but knowledgeable posts in this forum. A high profile for a forum is, in fact, a double-edged sword: it takes a long time to read through and find the few gems amongst the posts, and it attracts a lot of chatterboxes, as can unfortunately be observed in a competitor’s forum:
A question about chemistry was asked. One reply reads: “Unfortunately, I’m not a chemist and can’t give you an answer.” Why doesn’t the writer do himself and the readers a favour and simply keep quiet (theoretical question)?
That’s enough for today.
Bye for now, Gerd
