Hello
Has anyone here ever pushed Foma 100R (black-and-white transparency film)? (To around 200 ISO, for example)
I really like this film, but I could do with a bit more ‘oomph’ for autumn and winter.
I develop the film using the Foma reversal kit.
The alternative, Agfa Scala, is far too expensive for me.
Best regards,
Michael

Oh, sorry. How do you develop them? In a rotary or tilt-and-turn processor? What development times do you use for the Foma?
Regards, Micha.
Oh, right. I once compared exposures of a Foma 100 and an Efke 100 using the same camera settings (lighting/location/aperture/shutter speed). With normal development, the Efke shows a clear maximum black on the negative for me. I would therefore tend to assume that the Foma 100 isn’t actually 100 ISO. Or can this be interpreted differently??
Regards, Micha.

Hi Micha,
I develop the Foma 100R exactly as per the instructions in the Foma Diakit, namely 12 minutes of initial development whilst constantly agitating the canister.
It may well be that the film isn’t actually 100 ISO; with Foma, it’s no surprise that the negative films have a lower speed than stated.
But how did the Efke KB 100 perform during reversal? Is the film base completely clear afterwards?
Regards,
Michael
