Hello!
Does anyone have any experience of using the Moersch Finisher Blue additive with non-Moersch developers (Neutol, Eukobrom)?
I’d like to achieve a blue-black image tone without toning. How does Finisher Blue compare to Labaphot BL20? Should I use warm-toned or neutral papers for this purpose (I currently use Kodak Polymax, ClassicArts Polywarmtone and Foma Variant as PE papers, and Polywarmtone as fibre-based papers...)
Thanks,
Roman

Hi Roman,
The Finisher Blue isn’t a blue toner like the Labophot. So we’re definitely talking about differences similar to those between warm- and cool-tone papers/developers, rather than colours as with toners.
That said, it’s very nice.
Best regards,
Martin

Hello!
I haven’t had any experience with either the Moersch or the Labaphot so far, but judging by the descriptions, both products seem to work in a similar way – developer additives (probably benzothiazole-based) to achieve blue-black tones (the Labaphot is NOT a toner!)
What has been your experience with the Moersch Finisher Blue so far? Which developers and papers do you use it with?
Thanks,
Roman
