Hello,
I’m desperately looking for information on the long-exposure behaviour of Efke 25/50 and Fomapan 100. I’ve recently got my hands on a beautiful 4×5" sheet film pinhole camera, which means I’ll need to use longer exposures from time to time ;-)
I’d also like to know which developer you’d use for these films.
Many thanks in advance
Ciao

Hello Klaus
I don’t have any first-hand experience of how these two EFKES films perform with long exposures, but
they’re said to be very tolerant of ‘Mr Schwarzschild’.
For the Foma, why not have a look at www.foma.cz – you’ll find everything you need there.
Developer... For my 35mm films, I really like using R09 with these films; for your
large-format work, I think R09 is ideal, as it was originally developed for that purpose.
Nice grey tones, sharp with good edge definition, and you can ignore that slight graininess with 4x5
anyway
Have a lovely evening
Michael

For Fomapan 100 (Classic)
Schwarzschild:
1/1000 – 1/2 s 1X correction
1 s 2X correction (f -1)
10 s 8X correction (f -3)
100 s 16x correction (f -4)
According to the datasheet (Foma 7/020) Fomapan 100
Kind regards,
