Hello everyone, I’d like to try developing baryta paper using a two-bath process soon. But before I make a big mistake, I thought I’d ask here: is it even worth conducting the development with Fomabrom and Dokumol? The product description does say that this paper is fairly insensitive to different developers. Should I use Polywarmton Baryta instead? Which of the two papers is easier to dry? Thanks. Phillip, The point about developers reacting less strongly does NOT refer to hard/soft developers, but to warm/cold developers! Of course, Fomabrom produces brilliant results in two-tank development (...still...) compared to single-tank development. The effect is most clearly visible with Polywarmton. However, it’s not as though the difference immediately jumps out at you. Even with an ‘untrained’ eye, you really have to make a direct comparison (single-bath vs. two-bath development) to see it at all. Best regards, Mirko FOTOIMPEX
