Hello everyone,
I’ve now had my first go at developing film.
But there’s one thing that’s still on my mind: what’s the gentlest and safest way to dry my film?
Can a squeegee scratch the film? I reckon the Efke 25 is particularly sensitive in that regard...
Chamois leather? What’s the verdict on that?
Fingers? In my experience, that’s not enough...
Distilled water? I still got slight spots (without wiping)...
So what’s the answer?
Could anyone give me a practical tip?
Regards, Pepe
Hi Pepe,
I’ve had good results with the following procedure:
1 Soak for 1 minute in the final rinse water with wetting agent
2 Spin the film in a salad spinner. For better balance, spin an extra roll of film in the spinner at the same time.
3 Then leave it to hang to dry
Good luck
