Hello, does anyone have any experience with the Kb 25 in Rodinal?
In his collection of photographic recipes, Udo Raffay states that he developed the film at a dilution of 1:250 and that the film came out very clear and, above all, very balanced. Has anyone else had any experience with this rather strong dilution?
The Effke has by far the steepest emulsion curve I know of, and is very difficult to ‘flatten’. I use the A 49 at a dilution of 1+3, for 12 minutes at 24 degrees, and am actually quite happy with that, though it has to be subjected to the utmost level of exposure and development. I’m happy to put in the effort, though, as I really like the film.
In my opinion, the only developer that works absolutely stress-free with the Effke and, above all, with Technical Pan is the Gigabit KB developer; 80 ASA is easily achievable with both films, and that at N

I developed the Efke 25 (35mm) with Rodinal 1+100 (tilting, 8 mins, Agfa Rhytmus: agitate continuously for the first minute, then once every 30 seconds, 10 ml Rodinal per film). Please note: The fixing time is quite short. It is therefore essential to check the clearing time beforehand using the film strip: as has often been described, the fixing time is then twice the clearing time. The pink tinge on the negatives disappears if you place them in the sun, preferably in their protective sleeves.
Good luck.
