Hallo, plant Fotoimpex den neuen Fuji Acros ins Lieferprogramm aufzunehmen? Ich frage hier übers Forum, weil es wahrscheinlich auch andere interessiert.

Hello, Does FOTOIMPEX plan to add the new Fuji Acros to its product range? I’m asking here on the forum because others are probably interested too.

...we would love to, but all our attempts to become a Fuji dealer have so far bounced off Fuji like water droplets off an aloe vera plant. Fuji doesn’t seem to like us very much and doesn’t respond to either faxes or emails, even though an initial, very pleasant conversation with the relevant representative at Photokina gave us cause for hope. I reckon they want to cultivate an illustrious circle of tame, exclusive dealers who don’t complain about a mere 6% dealer margin or the fact that the films cost the dealer more wholesale than they do retail at Saturn, and who dutifully sell Fuji digital kit and have lovely carpet and neon lighting in their shops. Just a proper, conservative ‘photo-something’ like you’d find in any West German town, with a proper entry in the commercial register and all the trimmings. We, with our cheap imports and our focus on B&W and ‘smelly’ chemicals, probably don’t fit into the new, clean image anymore...... We’re already under suspicion with our low prices and import-export business, and now with America as well... (www.fotoimpex-usa.com) I can’t explain it any other way... or does anyone know more?? News! That nice chap from Fuji, whom we’d already managed to get hold of once at Photokina ( :) ), was there this year. He promised to do something so that we can offer everything from Futschi at good prices in future. It was all a misunderstanding. Of course, Fuji wants to make a profit too. Aha! :D However, he said we’re not allowed to say ‘Fuji’ anymore; it has to be ‘Fujifilm’ now...... :lol: Mirko from FOTOIMPEX

Apparently there are even some who claim that the Plus-X has ‘better’ grey tones than the TMX. You name it, it’s out there – even Gipps. Ferdinand

...and there are people who claim that the Maco PO 100 is the Fuji Acros. You see everything... (Info straight from Maco. I’ll take that at face value for now.) What I also believe: flat crystal = low silver content. :unsure: Regards, Axel

Hmm, I don’t think Fuji supplied Maco with raw materials. It’s possible, mind you, as Maco is very active in Japan, but actually that goes against their corporate identity. The only possibility would be that the Acros isn’t actually made by Fuji at all, but by a supplier who also sells to other companies. But that’s just wild speculation. Mirko
