I need a paper developer for my holiday and was actually planning to order Adotol Konstant, but it’s not available. I’ve just had a quick look through the data sheets, and it seems that none of the liquid paper developers have a very long shelf life once mixed. I can’t reorder them whilst I’m there, so I’ll have to give it a miss.
Neutol Eco seems to have the shortest shelf life. If it’s to be an alternative to Adotol Konstant, the working solution would need to last at least three weeks in the bottle and be reusable once prepared.
What would you advise? Which other developer comes closest to Adotol Konstant? What do you think of Dektol? I used to like using Eukobrom, so that would be my next option.
All of this applies to the fixer as well, of course, because Adofix P isn’t available at the moment either. But I don’t think the shelf life is as critical there.
Thanks for any tips!

With Moersch Eco 4812, the working solution is said to keep for 8 months in the bottle:

Dektol is very similar to Adotol Konstant and is a classic in paper development (Ansel Adams!)
As for the fixer, I don’t see any major differences in shelf life.

Thanks for the tips!
In that case, Dektol would probably be an alternative. I’ll wait a few more days to see if Adotol and Adofix come back in stock; if not, I’ll order something else. Maybe Mirko will get in touch and know more about it...
Best regards,
