The new ADOX SCALA® kit consists of just two components (plus an optional stop bath), making the reverse development process considerably simpler.
Simply mix the developer and Bleach bath in a 1:1 ratio with water, and you’re ready to go.
The ADOX® innovation in the new SCALA® process lies in the complete avoidance of dichromates and other corrosive or highly hazardous substances, making this kit the only reversal kit in the world that is suitable for postal dispatch.
Furthermore, after three years of development work, we have succeeded in stabilising the Bleach bath in liquid form so that it remains stable for 16 weeks even after opening, and for a further 8 weeks when diluted.
This means you can genuinely get at least the stated 8 films out of the SCALA® KIT.

The ADOX® Scala® Kit consists of just two parts (plus an optional clearing bath), radically simplifying the black-and-white reversal process. Simply mix the developer and bleach 1+1 with water, and you’re ready to go!
The ADOX® innovation in the new Scala Process is the complete avoidance of dichromates and other corrosives. This is the only reversal kit that can be shipped worldwide.
Another achievement after three years of R&D is the very stable liquid bleach. Even in diluted form, it can be stored for up to 8 weeks.
You can really process the promised 8 rolls of film with this kit, without having to worry about the bleach running out before you’ve shot all the rolls.
Once opened, but undiluted, the bleach remains effective for up to 16 weeks.

The kit can reverse ANY b&w film, but only films with a high silver content and a clear base will produce truly beautiful slides. Most films have a greyish base, which means the highlights of the slides will not be very brilliant. The kit has been tailored to work perfectly with Adox SCALA films, and CMS 20 II looks great when reversed too.
