Hello,
I’ve bought a new Job Cascade and I can’t find the two markings for adjusting the water level.
They’re shown in the manual, but there’s nothing on the unit itself.
Has there been a change?
Can anyone tell me whether this is a delivery error or if there is a new adjustment mark (perhaps the Jobo logo on the tube)?
Incidentally, there is no mark on the photo in the local online shop either.
Best regards from the Münsterland,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,
Adjusting the water level isn’t a problem at all.
Simply cover the small hole and adjust the water level so that it’s roughly in the middle of the tube.
With my newly purchased Cascade, there was a completely different problem. The connecting hose is too short and as stiff as an ox’s tail.
I fitted a 1-metre-long silicone hose to my Cascade.
Now there’s no longer any risk of the Cascade jumping out of the tin whilst watering – it happened to me once.

What about the water level? I always pop them in the tin and fill it up with water. Is there anything I need to bear in mind?

Sure, otherwise you might as well just stick the hose straight into the can and save yourself €20.
?
So, the part you put into the can is the injector. It has a small hole on the side.
You need to hold that closed with your finger and adjust the water level in the injector so that the water reaches about halfway up the injector.
Now you can take your finger away and the optimum amount of air will be sucked into the can.
This creates a turbulent water flow inside the can.
?
All clear?
?
PS: You can also forget about the injector and just stick the hose straight into the can, saving yourself €20 (for the whole lot) and simply extending the watering time by 5 minutes.

Hi Lichtjahr,
Thank you so much! I really didn’t know that.
I’ll give it a go next time. But it was handy as it was – everything fitted together nicely and you didn’t have to keep an eye on it, so I’d already tidied up :).
So, thanks again,
Max
